The food industry had to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic. Because it is one of the essential services and they are not forced to close like other businesses, receiving customers in your restaurant or cafeteria, for example, has become quite complicated. Depending on the time of the pandemic, this would end up being complex for reasons of hygiene and social distancing. So, you need to look for ways to keep the place running.

Some of the alternatives that these establishments can resort to to remain open is the drive thru service or online delivery, which is the customer delivery service. In the case of delivery, the customer can be served through social networks, such as Whatsapp, by call or through applications.

One of the most famous food delivery apps is the Brazilian company iFood, founded in 2011. Thus, it becomes a great way for your business to remain active during the pandemic. If you are wondering “How to register my company on iFood?”, see the step-by-step guide below:

What plans are available on iFood?

Basic Plan

As mentioned before, to have your full subscription on iFood you need to choose one of the plans available on the platform. The first is the Basic Plan, in which the delivery service has to be provided by you and your own business. In this plan, you will need to pay a monthly fee of R$ 100 from the moment your business reaches the mark of R$ 1.800 in income per month.

In addition, you will also have other fees to pay. If your customer chooses the option to pay through the app, a fee of 3,5% will be charged. In addition, you also need to pay a 12% fee for each order placed.

Delivery Plan

Unlike the Basic Plan, to have access to the Delivery Plan, some requirements are necessary. The region where your establishment is located needs to include the delivery service by iFood.

With this plan, the delivery of orders will be borne by the platform and not by your establishment. The monthly fee charged is BRL 130, but as with the Basic Plan, this amount will only be charged when your monthly income exceeds BRL 1.800. In addition, there will also be a 27% per order fee.

You will receive delivery orders on your home screen, if you want to accept it, you need to drag the black button to the left. If you want to refuse, do the same to the right, but with the red button.

After accepting the delivery you will receive the data with the race address, the order, the address of the establishment and the estimated time to pick up the order. When you close a delivery, you can go back to accepting others.
