    Negrito

To send content in bold, just insert an asterisk (*) at the beginning and another at the end of the sentence. Like for example * *. On Android, you can select the word and, in the menu that appears, choose Bold.

    Italic

Italicized content is generated when the user includes the underscore symbol (_) at the beginning and end of the sentence. So, it would be __. On Android, you can select the word and, in the menu that appears, go in italics.

    Strikethrough

The letter ̶t̶a̶c̶h̶a̶d̶a̶ is the one crossed out. To use the feature, just use the tilde symbol (~) before and after the content that will be sent. For example: ~ ~.

If you use Android and don't want to decorate symbols, just select the text, and go to the three dots icon to see more menu options. So, opt for strikethrough.

    monospaced

The 𝚖𝚘𝚗𝚘𝚎𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚌̧𝚊𝚍𝚊 font features wider spacing between the letters, with a style that resembles that of typewriters. To use it, you need to include three back quotes (or backticks) before and after, as in "".

On Android, the option is also available by selecting content, tapping on the three dots icon and going to monospace.

Changing the WhatsApp Status font is also quite simple. The section gives you the option to post especially text and another to write about the photos and videos you want to post.

In the case of the function specifically focused on texts (accessible via the pencil icon), the user still finds a greater variety of options. When touching the letter T, has access to five types of fonts.

In this case, WhatsApp's native change rules for messages also apply. For example, when inserting the asterisk at the beginning and end of the content, it will be displayed in bold. If you use the underline, it will be italicized, and so on.

However, if you need a wider variety of styles, you can turn to the Messletter website (or any other similar site of your choice). So just copy and paste.

The copy and paste feature also works on texts included in Status photos and videos. Natively, the functionality only offers one font option with no editing possibility.
