Enabling students to study more easily online and for teachers to also teach their subjects digitally, the Minas Gerais State Department of Education (SEE/MG) launched in 2022 the School Connection 2.0 for the school year.
As its name suggests, this is the new version of the old platform called just School Connection. The app was launched to complement the Study at Home Program, giving students and teachers access to the classes broadcast on Rede Minas and the Tutored Study Plans (PET).
Among the main changes of the two versions of the application, is that now Conectação Escola can interact with the Google Sala de Aula – Google Classroom platform.
With this integration, the tool now enables online interaction between student and teacher, as well as allowing teachers to provide materials such as activities, tests and handouts. Video conversations between teacher and students also become a possibility.
It is important to note that the School Connection is for students from elementary school to high school, encompassing all schooling levels. In addition to having videos in Libras for students with hearing impairments.

School connection for student
In order for the student to be able to access Conectação Escola 2.0, he/she will need to have the electronic e-mail created by the Minas Gerais State Department of Education (SEE/MG) at hand. E-mail addresses for students have a standard format, being the first name, then a period followed by the registration number and ending with @aluno.mg.gov.br.
The platform password will consist of the full date of birth with day, month and year without being abbreviated.
An example of login that we can cite for students who will access the School Connection is: e-mail: marcos.123456@aluno.mg.gov.br; default password: xx/xx/xxxx – 12/34/2002.
To check the electronic e-mail, just ask the direction of the school where the student is enrolled or ask through the e-mail: https://idaluno.educacao.mg.gov.br/.
If the student tries to log in through personal email or any other, he will not be able to enter the application.

School connection for teacher
As it is for students, access for the teacher must be done through the e-mail created by SEE/MG in Belo Horizonte.
For this, the teacher of the state network needs to configure their mobile device installed in the application and allow access. If you are a teacher and will access the platform for the first time, your password will probably be your CPF without the spaces and dots, only the numbers.
But if you still don't have the access address, you need to get in touch with the direction of the school that works so that it is provided.
A SEE access manual is also available to make life easier for students and teachers. Just access the material and request access for the manual to be released by Google Drive.

School Connection: how to log in on mobile?
It is important to note that the Conectação Escola application can only be downloaded by devices with the Android operating system.
The download process is quite simple. You just need to go to the Google Play Store, the Google app store, and search for Conectação Escola 2.0.
The app is not yet available on the Apple Store, Apple's online app store for iOS device users.
If the student already has the old app installed on their mobile device, they will only need to update the app to the new version.
