As is already public knowledge, Disney bought Marvel Comics, and is entitled to everything that exists of the brand on the market and this influence also affects the world of games. the MMO Marvel Heroes Omega was released in June on consoles and its days are already numbered, as Disney decided to end the partnership with Gazillion Entertainment, the company responsible for making the game. Apparently, Disney was unhappy with the studio, which was failing to do weekly community updates.
We regret to inform Marvel Heroes fans that we have ended our relationship with Gazillion Entertainment, and that the Marvel Heroes game will close. We would like to sincerely thank the players who have joined the Marvel Heroes community and will be offering updates as they become available.
The developers announced in an official note that the servers of Marvel Heroes Omega will close on December 31st. Real money purchases will be removed soon and the statement indicates that purchasable items will be available for free.
So if you still have any achievements pending in Marvel Heroes Omega, it's time to go back and enjoy the game while it's still available.
